Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtec, Tânisi, Taanishi, Bonjour, Hello, Sansom Community,
Thank you to all students and families for contributing to a successful two-day Parent-Teacher Conferences. We truly appreciate your time, partnership, and commitment to supporting student learning. We hope the conversations were meaningful and provided helpful insight into your child’s progress and next steps. As always, families do not need to wait for conference days to connect with teachers - if you missed conferences this time or have questions or would like to discuss your child’s learning further, please feel free to email your child’s teacher or call the school at any time to book an appointment. Your ongoing engagement makes a tremendous difference.

School Development Plan
Our School Development Plan for this year has now been posted on our school website. We encourage all families to take a few moments to review the document, as it outlines our priorities, focus areas, and the direction we are taking to support student learning and well-being. Staying informed about our goals helps strengthen the partnership between home and school, and we appreciate your continued engagement in our shared work.
Parent Council Fun Lunch - Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen & Subway
Our next Fun Lunch will take place on December 10, and ordering is now open on the Healthy Hunger website. Families are encouraged to place their orders early, as the deadline is Friday, December 5, at midnight. All money raised will be used to support the learning and activities of students at Clarence Sansom. You will need to set up a Healthy Hunger account and enter the student’s name and classroom to begin your order.
Transportation (Yellow School Bus)
There have been some changes to bus letters and bus times. More bus routes have been added and times have changed. Please check your parent account for the most up to date information. Some of the buses are picking up earlier so please check before your child comes to school on Monday. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call the school.
Winter Weather Reminders
Calgary has experienced the first taste of winter weather for the season. Snow, cold temperatures and wind chill can make getting to and from school challenging. Families are reminded that extra caution should be taken during the winter months and periods of extreme weather. You can find more information on our winter weather page.
Families should be prepared for transportation delays and check for the status of their bus in the morning. You can find more information, including transportation service provider apps, on the Using Transportation in Cold Weather page.
Please note that CBE Schools Rarely Close Due to Snow or Cold Temperatures
Assume that schools are open unless you hear otherwise from your school. Information regarding any school closures due to weather will be posted on the CBE website and social media, and shared with local news media. We respect the right of parents/guardians to make their own decisions about sending their children to school. If your child will not be attending classes please ensure you contact the attendance line by calling the school to report the absence.
