School Development Plan
Our School Development Plan for this year has now been posted on our school website. We encourage all families to take a few moments to review the document, as it outlines our priorities, focus areas, and the direction we are taking to support student learning and well-being. Staying informed about our goals helps strengthen the partnership between home and school, and we appreciate your continued engagement in our shared work.
Food Bank Drive
Sansom Leadership believes that it’s important to give back to the community, especially during the holiday season when many families are struggling. This Spirit week we are encouraging students to bring food to donate to the food bank. We also understand that not everyone will be able to bring in food - there is no pressure! Thank you for donating non-perishable food items for the Calgary Food Bank.
Winter Weather Reminders
Calgary is experiencing very cold weather, and we remind families to take extra caution during the winter months and periods of extreme temperatures. Please ensure students are dressed warmly and prepared for the conditions. You can find more information on our winter weather page.
Families should be prepared for transportation delays and check for the status of their bus in the morning. You can find more information, including transportation service provider apps, on the Using Transportation in Cold Weather page.
Please note that CBE Schools Rarely Close Due to Snow or Cold Temperatures
Assume that schools are open unless you hear otherwise from your school. Information regarding any school closures due to weather will be posted on the CBE website and social media, and shared with local news media.
We respect the right of parents/guardians to make their own decisions about sending their children to school. If your child will not be attending classes please ensure you contact the attendance line by calling the school to report the absence.
