Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtec, Tânisi, Taanishi, Bonjour, Hello, Sansom Community!
We have wrapped up another exciting week of teaching and learning at Clarence Sansom! A special shout-out to our boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, who both made it to the playoffs! Although their seasons came to an end following two closely contested games, we are incredibly proud of their determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Throughout the season, our student-athletes represented Sansom with pride and dignity, demonstrating grace in both victory and defeat. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic season! We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our coaches and families for their continued encouragement and support of our school athletics. Your support makes a difference in the experiences and successes of our students!
Connect Corner: Supporting Student Well-Being
At Clarence Sansom, student well-being remains one of our top priorities. While we are proud of the progress we have made, we continue to explore meaningful ways to support the social and emotional well-being of all our students. One way we do this is through our weekly Friday homeroom Connect lessons, which provide opportunities for students to strengthen relationships, build a sense of belonging, and develop important life skills. This week, students continued building connections with their classmates and teachers through circle conversations and team-building activities, with a particular focus on conflict resolution. Students explored ways to navigate disagreements, communicate respectfully, and resolve conflicts in safe, healthy, and constructive ways. Through these conversations and activities, we are helping students develop the skills they need to build positive relationships and contribute to a safe, caring, and welcoming school community.

Dressing for Fall Weather
With temperatures changing, we remind families to ensure students are dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, including Physical Education classes. Layers, jackets, and appropriate footwear will help students stay comfortable and active as we move into the cooler months.
Fridays Matter – Every School Day Counts!
While Fridays may be shorter at Sansom, they are just as important to student learning and success! Fridays provide valuable opportunities for students to strengthen their skills, participate in classroom learning, and stay connected with their peers and teachers. Consistent attendance, including Fridays, helps students maintain positive routines, stay on track academically, and develop responsibility and independence.
Everyday matters, and every Friday counts! Thank you to our Sansom families for reinforcing the importance of regular attendance and helping students finish each week strong!
Partners in Learning: Respectful, Ongoing & Effective Communication
Families should always feel welcome to reach out to the school. Communication about your child begins in the classroom by reaching out to the classroom teachers. This is the optimal way to connect about your child's schooling.
While it is most optimal to first reach out to the classroom teacher, Mr. Steed, Principal, Ms. Nguyen and Dr. Amanwi, Assistant Principals, are available to work collaboratively alongside teachers to support students and their families.
