Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtec, Tânisi, Taanishi, Bonjour, Hello, Sansom Community!
We had another engaging week at Clarence Sansom! Our students continued their learning and reflection around Truth and Reconciliation, while also enjoying opportunities to connect and build community. We ended the week on a high note with grade-team pep rallies filled with games, school spirit, and lots of laughter - including the much-anticipated Pie the Teacher! Thank you to our students and staff for bringing such positive energy and enthusiasm to our school community. We look forward to another great week of learning, connection, and belonging at Sansom!
As part of our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Clarence Sansom students and staff came together to create Reconciliation Grows Through Us, a collaborative art installation featuring a trembling aspen tree. Students and staff contributed leaves reflecting what they have learned, what they are grateful for, and the actions they will take to help reconciliation grow.
Together, these individual leaves represent our collective learning and shared responsibility, grounded in the message: “Rooted in truth, we grow toward reconciliation.” We invite families to learn more about this meaningful project through the newsfeed on our school website at Reconciliation Grows Through Us.

School Council and Parent Society
Our School Council and Parent Society Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. All parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to connect with other families, learn more about our school, and have a voice in supporting our school community. If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you can join the Clarence Sansom - School Council Meeting Online via Microsoft Teams. The Clarence Sansom School Council can be reached at sansomparentcouncil@gmail.com
Partners in Learning: Respectful, Ongoing & Effective Communication
Families should always feel welcome to reach out to the school. Communication about your child begins in the classroom by reaching out to the classroom teachers. This is the optimal way to connect about your child's schooling.
While it is most optimal to first reach out to the classroom teacher, Mr. Steed, Principal, Ms. Nguyen and Dr. Amanwi, Assistant Principals, are available to work collaboratively alongside teachers to support students and their families.
