Good afternoon Sansom families,
We have our final 5-day school week of the year4 and are excited as our year end celebrations approach. Please read the weekly newsletter carefully, as it contains important information that impacts all students.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank staff and students for making last week’s Wellness Day a success. Overall the day went very smoothly and we are already looking at how to make next year’s Wellness Day an even greater success.
Inform| Lost and Found
All lost and found items remaining at school will be donated after next week. Please encourage your children to check the lost and found bin (located near the gym doors) regularly for lost items. Valuable items that are lost, such as cell phones, air pods, and glasses, are often turned into the office for safekeeping, and these are not donated
Request| Intent to Return to Clarence Sansom School
As we finalize planning for next year, we want to ensure class lists are updated. If you have a student who is not intending to return to Clarence Sansom School for the 2024-2025 school year, please email us with any applicable details.
If you have already informed the school, we appreciate your support.
Remind| Grade 9 PAT

- Bring a snack if needed
- Bring something to read for after the exam
- NO DIGITAL DEVICES are permitted in the exam rooms

This year’s Grade 9 Farewell Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 24th. Please be aware of the following:
- This event is for students only.
- 2:30-3:30 pm: Grade 9 students will be recognized by staff members and treated to snacks and drinks.
- 3:30-5:00 pm: Students who wish to continue to celebrate in the gym, can do so. Music and a photo booth will be provided.
- If students are staying past 3:30 pm, they need to arrange their own transportation as school busses will not be available at this time.
- If students choose to leave the school after 3:30 pm, they will not be permitted back in.
Inform| Activity Day
On Wednesday, June 26th, Sansom will host our annual Activity Day! Weather dependent, students will be engaging in fun sports themed activities and games outside and around the school.
We recommend students bring the following items on Wednesday:
- Water bottle
- Hat
- Sunscreen and bug repellent
- Running shoes (please no crocks or sandals)
- A backpack or bag for items during locker cleanout
We are really excited to have a fun day outside with students. Let’s hope for warm sunny weather!
Request| Library Books Due
All books are due by Wednesday, June 19. Students who do not return their overdue books will be invoiced a $10 Lost Book Fee to their Power School account.
Update| IPPs
If your child is on an Individualized Program Plan (IPP), please review, sign & return the final signature page of your student's IPP to the school.
Reminder| Offsite
Parents/Guardians are reminded that students are not permitted to participate, or be present at an offsite activity without a signed Acknowledgment of Risk (A of R) Form. For example, students are not permitted at the Track Meet unless they are participating and have a signed A of R.
Students should come prepared to participate in activities, which includes dressing for the weather.
Additionally, the Student Code of Conduct is in place during any offsite activity. If students are not following the Student Code of Conduct, parents/guardians may be required to pick their child up from the activity.
Finally, if teachers do not believe a student is ready to safely participate or represent the school well during a planned offsite activity, they may not be permitted to attend.
Remind| Report Cards
Families are able to view online student report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 from June 26 – July 26, 2024. Report cards for the 2023-24 school year may be viewed, downloaded and/or printed.
Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.
