Partners in Learning: Respectful, Ongoing & Effective Communication

As we begin a new school year and welcome new families to Clarence Sansom School, we want to ensure that parents and guardians know how best to communicate with the school. Families should always feel welcome to reach out to the school. Communication about your child begins in the classroom by reaching out to the classroom teachers. This is the optimal way to connect about your child's schooling.

We are a welcoming, caring, safe, and respectful working and learning environment for all students, parents, and staff. As a result, in all communication between school and families, all individuals should be treated with dignity and respect, whether in person, over the phone, or via email. We have a common goal to ensure your child is successful.

Our welcoming, caring, safe, and respectful working and learning environment is guided by the following documents. We invite you to review them at your convenience:

Working and Learning Environments: AR6031 Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe Learning and Work Environments

Role of the Parent: Education Act Sec 32.pdf

While it is most optimal to first reach out to the classroom teacher, Mr. Steed, Principal, Dr. Amanwi and Ms. Nguyen, Assistant Principals, are available to work collaboratively alongside teachers to support students and their families.

Sincerely,

Glen Steed, Principal

My Nguyen and Lumbesi Amanwi, Assistant Principals
